Service - Leadership - Adventure

Troop 742 chartered with Coastal Shores Baptist Church in 2019 as the first all-female unit in our area. In 2023, we expanded and started an all-male unit as well to continue Baden Powell's vision of offering the Scouting program to as many youths as possible. On September 1, 2024, we were approved to participate in Scouting America's combined troop pilot program. This allows the two units to work as a single unit with the leadership being made up of both genders. This model allows for more flexibility in the delivery of the Scouting program and provides more opportunities for the scouts to grow.

We invite all youth aged 11-17 to come visit with us to see what Scouting and our unit can offer you! We meet every Thursday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Coastal Shores Baptist Church located at 8310 Dorchester Rd.
